“We’ve used Once Upon a Ballet for 2 years now and I can tell you I’ve seen a huge difference in my students who have come up through this program.”
- Mitzy B.

“This is a program I never would have thought of. It’s very unique and different… [It] introduces ballet [so that children] are learning ballet steps but almost sublimily. They don’t realize they’re standing there and trying to do the steps or that perfect port de bras because of the way we present it.”
- Vickie S.

“I am so impressed with the level of detail that has gone into this program. My students really got into the story of Giselle when I introduced it in class. I noticed they even tried harder in the class exercises when they danced as Giselle, the villagers, or Willis. I'm thrilled!”
- Kara L.

But figuring out HOW to teach that way isn’t so easy, is it?

When children are interested in something, learning is so much easier. Teaching is so much easier, too.

"Why not teach in a way that inspires your students to WANT to learn ballet?"

I've always LOVED ballet. But teaching my beginning ballet students in a way that inspires them to love ballet too, hasn't always been easy.

I just couldn't help thinking — after so much success in helping teachers help littles love dance class, what's different about older kids' classes? You know, the true Ballet 1 class and several levels up from that. Littles learn so much more by making class creative, imaginative, and fun for them—how can we do the same for an older age group while still teaching correct technique? What would get them excited about ballet? To be as excited as our preschoolers are to come to class each week?

Here's the answer I came up with:

Bring ballet class to life through classical story ballets, the characters in those stories, and the people in history who made them reality.

Whether you teach at a recreational ballet program or a more serious one, this bundle has something in it that will help you spark interest and inspire your students!

Hi! I'm Ashley!

BEST OF ALL —

When we incorporated this approach in our own classes, more of our students actually wanted to be at ballet class. We had better attendance. Our students were even learning more and their technique was better. They became more invested in ballet. It was something some of them could really relate to for the first time.

We take the most interesting facts and tidbits from each classical ballet and use them as a tool to bring each ballet to life. As your dancers learn about each ballet, its plot, and its famous first dancers, you’ll be amazed at how much more interesting ballet class will suddenly be!

This is not that kind of curriculum.

You could teach ballet and its history to dancers at any age in a way that, quite frankly, puts them to sleep.

Let's get one thing straight...

Inspire your beginning to intermediate ballerinas through classical ballet stories as you teach them correct ballet technique alongside the rich tradition and history of ballet.

I NEED THIS IN MY BALLET CLASSES!

When they come to class each week, they are excited to find out what happens next in the ballet story they are learning about. Ballet has become much more fun for my beginning students. I've even noticed better attention and technique from my students! Thank you, Ashley!"

- AVAILABLE UNTIL MARCH 19TH -

The Storybook Ballet Curriculum included in this bundle is designed to introduce beginning to intermediate ballet to 7 to 12 year olds in a way that sparks most (if not all) of your class's attention.

What about other students though?

Truth be told, it can be hard to figure out what is fun. What will hold the majority of our classes’ attention? Many of us who fell in love with ballet, did so in spite of it being taught in a dull and possibly boring way. It may have been rigorous, but it was certainly not exciting to come to class every day. Regardless of talent, we were the ones with a natural drive and interest for the art form.

So Why Not Make Ballet Fun?

It’s actually scientifically proven that children (and even adults) learn better and are
more likely to WANT to learn when they’re having fun.

This simply isn't true.

The problem is the myth that so many ballet teachers believe: That you can't teach ballet to older kiddos in a way that's INSPIRING.

The moment you purchase this curriculum, you’ll have access to our complete video syllabus plus all released lesson plan sets for ballet, contemporary, conditioning, and pre-point. A brand new lesson plan set will be released on the 1st of every month. Each covers a different classical story ballet and modern artist technique.

Through this curriculum, we’ll show you how inspired your young ballerinas can truly be, and how much they can love ballet.

The Story Ballet Bundle gives you a complete toolbox you can use in your 7 to 12 year old ballet classes. It can be used stand-alone, as your sole curriculum, or to supplement another ballet curriculum you already use.
